About this extension
American Checkers brings classic English draughts to Chrome so you can play offline whenever you have a spare minute. Open an 8x8 board from the toolbar, take one side, and face the computer with authentic American / English rules: men move and capture forward on the diagonals, and kings are short (one square, not flying).
Challenge the built-in opponent with no account and no sign-in. There are 100 difficulty levels - a win raises the level by one for the next game (up to 100), while a loss or draw leaves it where it is. Set your color (white, black, or random), pick a board theme, and open the game as a small popup or a Chrome side panel. Captures are mandatory when available, but you do not have to choose the longest jump. Game state stays in Chrome local storage on your device. Privacy disclosure: no analytics and no server sync of your games. Developer contact listed as [email protected]. Chrome Web Store snapshot for this page: version 1.1.1, 41 languages, no ratings yet - always re-check the live listing before you install. Official site: checkers.happyvials.com.
