Is Volume Control extension free?

Yes, Volume Control is completely free. There are no hidden fees, subscriptions, or premium locks.

Does the volume boost work on all websites?

Yes. It works with browser-based audio including YouTube, Spotify Web, Twitch, Netflix, Hulu, SoundCloud, Pandora, and similar sites.

Does Volume Control collect personal data?

No. Audio processing is local. The extension does not collect, store, or transmit personal data or audio content.

How much can I boost the volume?

Up to 600% (6×) of the original volume.

Can I control volume for multiple tabs?

Yes. Each tab can have its own level simultaneously.

Will it slow down my browser?

No. It is lightweight and optimized for everyday use.

Does it work with other audio extensions?

Usually yes, but multiple volume tools may conflict. Prefer a single volume extension.

How do I mute a tab?

Open the popup and use the mute control for the active audio tab.

Can I reduce volume below the site default?

Yes. Lower the slider when a tab is too loud.

Does it work on Edge?

Chrome Web Store extensions generally work on Chromium-based Edge.

Why is there no sound change?

Make sure the tab is playing audio, the extension is allowed on the site, and boost is above 100% if you need amplification.
